OKWI HALI TETE YANGA SC!

Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi’s saga has taken a new twist as FIFA, the international football governing body has given his former club Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia an ultimatum to declare whether they are going to pay the $300,000 they owe Simba SC after acquiring the services of Uganda's International Striker, Okwi.

FIFA says come Monday, they will have the player’s case decided on whether he is still Tunisian giant’s player or not basing on formal communication that will be submitted in by Etoile du Sahel.

“Beyond the deadline, the case will be decided by a single judge appointed within three days from January 28,” reads part of the statement from Simba SC of Tanzania who received the communication from FIFA.

FIFA allowed Okwi to play for SC Villa for six months, as he was still a valid player of Etoile du Sahel and by signing for Yanga in Decemberhe sparked off controversy.

If all goes in Simba’s favour and Etoile du Sahel fails to pay in time, Okwi is likely to return to Simba as their player.
